My family, being the Chinese as they ever be totally fussed about what we were supposed to do in the Chinese New Year weekend; since, it has been a tradition to celebrate Chinese New Year, same rituals and stuff. But luckily, almost all the kids (including me, of course) in our family did not have classes for four days. FOUR DAYS! So yeah, we have decided to go up to the North! Yes. Totally planned, but had spontaneous trip as we went up.

These are the photos that basically summed up what happened during our CNY-long-weekend:

1st stop: Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte (albeit almost-storming, didn’t keep us from catching some waves. Well, that’s what 6 years of no beaches whatsoever did to us!)

2nd: Bangui Windmills! It has been my sister’s dream to see one of those windmills.

3rd destination: Vigan City. Another one of my sister’s dream. (medj mababaw, I know!!!)

Last and the totally unplanned one: Baguio City! Believe it or not, after almost 19 years that was the only time that I have tasted a strawberry taho, thus the photo.

So, that’s our 4-day weekend. Kind of a bummer actually, since we were only able to see those places in less than half a day (that’s because we always reached our destination at night, so basically, all we did was sleep, and then see the sightings the next day for like 4-5 hours and we’re back on the road). But! All is well. We had fun, and that’s all that matters, right?
